A Conversation With Bruce Chizen CEO of Adobe

On Thursday April 26th i attended a Q&A conference with Mr. Bruce Chizen the CEO of Adobe.I must say that i learned a lot of things i never knew before. Like for example i learned that Adobe is a $3 million company with half of its revenue coming from outside of the USA. Adobes global revenue and customer base AND employees are half in the US and half international. Mr. Chizen said that the main thing that keeps him up at night is Adobe expanding and flash being in almost all devices. He talked about other companies such as microsoft that are breathing down Adobe’s neck. He informed potential adobe employees that over the next few years the business model will be shifting and its something they need to be ready for.He spoke of the potential competition from the ever growing Google, and Adobe needs to shift to meet the shifting business model before other companies do. Adobe and it potential employees need to know what their customers want.He advised that the engineers of tomorrow need to know Java and that its critical to understand Non-PC technology and be able to create application for every type of technology, not just computers. He explained that the role of the browser is fastly changing, and Adobe wants to be ready. I was a little overwhelmed by everything i heard at the conference, but i was a little enlightened. I understand i was not very educated in the areas he was covering but it was still pretty intetesting.
